6 - Rethinking Human Performance in the Modern Workplace
In a thought-provoking session John Ryan will challenge participants to change the language around wellbeing. Organisations need to radically rethink their approach to employee wellbeing. The current framing as a discretionary benefit undervalues its impact on performance. Human performance is the real currency of modern work, where cognitive capacity, focus and recovery determine results. When wellbeing is positioned as a business lever, leaders can see its role in increasing sustainable capacity, reducing cognitive load and preventing error, burnout and rework. High-performing systems optimise energy, attention and decision quality, not just hours worked, crucial in an AI enabled workplace. Reframing wellbeing as a measurable driver of productivity, resilience and execution shifts it from cost to investment, aligning people strategy with C-suite outcomes that matter, moving it from discretionary to essential. In this workshop John will: 1) Share benchmark data on the biggest presenting issues for organisations across the globe in the people space. 2) Provide fresh insights on the practices being implemented to move the performance dial. 3) Ensure attendees leave with a clear framework to create a ‘culture of care’, the foundation of sustainable performance
